I'd like to try a couple of direct-x demo plugins. I use sf xp studio 5. I can't get the program to see the demo plugins. how can I get sfxp5 to see the demos? |

I'm not sure, but the 5.0 XP version may not be Direct-X compatable. An incentive for up-grading to the full version, which comes with some nice plug-ins and is worth the price. If I'm wrong on this, please correct me. |

Sound Forge XP Studio 5 does not, indeed, support independent DirectX plug-ins. You'll have to upgrade to Sound Forge 5 to get full DirectX plug-in ability. Iacobus |

the price of the full version of sound forge 5 is way too steep, and the program is way out overkill for what I need, especially just to try out a demo plug-in or two. anyone know of something simple, and much less expensive, that will allow me to demo, and possibly use, d-x plug-ins? |

Coold Edit 2000 uses DX-plugins besides their own proprietary FXs. http://www.syntrillium.com/ |

Wait til Sound Forge sends you a cheap-o up-grade offer ..... They will, if you are a registered user.... If you aren't and can't wait.. contact B&H Photo in NYC. They have good prices.... and any other place you want to buy from will match their price if you... "talk turkey". |

You can also download the full version of Sound Forge 5.0 and try it out in demo mode. Almost all the features will be available to you and it won't cost you anything other than the download & install time. |
