how to bring back color to video preview screen?

i produced a color video project. But now the video preview screen turned media black and white. The media bin and timeline still has color. How do I fix this issue. i have Sony Movie Studio 12 and have the latest version with updates. I tried changing Video output from FX to GPU accelerated (in drop down arrow above Preview Display). The color came back for a few seconds, then the program closed with an error message. After restarting Movie Studio and opening the project the preview video setting was set to FX., Any thoughts how to fix this color issue?

If the program closed with an error message, the settings weren't saved that's why it came back as FX.

However, v12 may be different then my v11 but just above the preview window is a Video Output FX icon. If you click on it, is the Black and White FX there? If so, click the Remove Selected Plug-in icon to remove it. Close MS and re-open it to make sure it stays that way.

Another option is to reset MS settings by holding down the Ctrl and Shift keys when launching MS.

Thanks MSmart! You knew exactly what to do. Your second idea worked. The program reset and the problem was solved.
It was so helpful and Happy New Year!!!!

I tested MSmart's first idea (in this thread, not ever of course) in MSP 12 and it worked as it should as well.

Note that you "click the Video Output FX button to apply an effect to "

As Chienworks recently reminded, "another good exercise is to try right-mouse-button clicking on everything. You'll find amazing things pop up and offer you a huge number of options and tools."
