Subject:How do I record vocals?

Hi, I'm using Acid and I'm trying to record vocals and it either records over a music track, or it doesn't record at all (the recording is blank). How do I create a new recording track?

INSERT> Audio Track
Choose the mic/line-in for the signal source in the track header
ARM the track in the track header
Hit record on the Transport buttons and do your thing
