AMD newest driver is very bad for Vegas/Plug ins.

I have always stayed with the old AMD Driver because it has been working great for me on my R9 290X video cards.. 98% of the times, my Vegas project has been always going smooth without any editing crashs or rendering issue. Today, I try the newest AMD Driver 15.12 its failed Vegas and Neat Video instantly and crash. I now going back to the reliable driver AMD 14.12 and 14.9 are the most reliable one to use.

Try the latest Beta Driver, it works for my R9 290 very well.

Tried the latest beta driver and it failed to optimized neat video and Vegas stop working. Back to the 14.12 and am stay with this one.

There where recent updates to NeatVideo that solved for me the issues with the AMD Drivers and my R9 290; are you on the latest NeatVideo Version?

I am using Neat Video Version 4. I bought this version 4 about a year ago because of gpu acceleration. What I found is this. When I run Neat Video, it takes of nice and good gpu acceleration and then zero gpu usage. I believed this is due to AMD Driver are not working well on my system.

ps. After a google search, I see there is a neat video version 4.1 how do you update to that version.? I don't see any way to update neat video dialog box within Vegas Pro. Some tips of how to do it is much appreciated.

OK. I used Neat Video again today. Neat Video prompt me an update to 4.11 and I followed the instruction and able to down load their latest version 4.11. I will report back of my findings with the AMD beta driver. I am in the little of rendering a project right now. Will do some testing later on.

Thanks for pointing me to the AMD Beta Driver 15.11 indeed is very good driver. I update to the latest Neat Video and AMD Beta Driver. I ran a test with Neat Video Version 4.1.1 and Vegas Pro is happy with this driver and Neat Video GPU usage is very high, up to 100% and hoover it down ranging from 25-100% which is very awesome.
