Get internet screen images into MOVIE STUDIO?

I took some screen shots off of the internet for use in a project.

I know this is prob the total wrong way to do it but I did

ctrl, alt, prt screen and then pasted the screen shot into word

I was actually able to then add them via add media feature into Sony Movie Studio.

I am not quite sure how I did it as currently I can't replicate that process.

At one point, I was getting the screen shots into Microsoft Picture Manager and adding them to MS from there so I added the screen shots different ways.

The screen shots are not too clear in MS - somewhat blurry.

I know that pixelation is the key.

Some are 979 x 528 x 32

Some I used the auto correct feature on in Picture Manager and it appears to have increased the resolution to 1600 x 818 x 24 and while the picture quality has been improved, it still is a little less than I would like.

I know I am prob going about this the wrong way.

I have no idea how I was able to get the screen shots into MS yesterday as today it's not working.

At one point, I was doing, "Save as" instead of taking screen shots.

The screen shots I took were of linkedin and when I used, "save as" what it did was copy the individual pictures of the people on the screen but none of the text.

I also saw where Photoshop has a feature whereby you can increase the pixels from 72 to 300?

I guess the quality is simply limited by the quality of the screen shot.

Can someone please tell me the proper procedure as I don't think pasting images into word doc is the right way?

osw,

Why aren't you continuing the conversation in your other topic [url=http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/showmessage.asp?messageid=918511]HERE[url]?

It's the same subject.

As mentioned before when you brought this topic up, the best way is to right-mouse-button click on the picture and save the image to your hard drive. This is no other procedure that produces better results than this.

If the picture is pixelized because it is low resolution then that is because it is low resolution. That's really all there is to it. Either use it and accept it, or find an alternate image that is higher resolution.

Cause it was nearly a year ago and I did not remember although it came up when I searched and what I am asking today is not quite the same.

Thanks but maybe I wasn't clear.

"Save as" works if it is simply a picture you want to capture put it won't work if you want to capture the entire screen of a search that contains pictures as well as text.

Right click save works if it is only a picture you want but sometimes I want the entire screen image.

For instance, I did a search on Linkedin which resulted in 20 profiles w pictures but also with a lot of printed text. the only thing that got saved when doing, "save as: were the pictures and not the text when doing.

I am seeing youtube videos that show the pixels being increased from 72 to 300 in Photo Shop. So it looks like quality can be increased.

In Picture manager, I increased the pixels from 979x528x32 to 1600 x 818 x24 by simply using auto correct and it did improve the quality some so not sure why people are saying the picture quality can't be improved? Although the quality is improved, it's not as good as I would like but I guess there are limitations i.e. the pixels are the pixels and can't be changed much except for what I stated.

However, today I have been unable to take the screen shot, (ctrl, alt, prt screen, copy/paste into word, then import the word doc into Picture Manager) and get it into picture manager correctly. It simply shows the word icon in picture manager. Hmm I was able to do it yesterday.

I can also use these methods below, supposedly, to increase picture quality as well as like I said in Picture Manager, clicking, "AUTO CORRECT" improves the picture quality somewhat.

Ways to improve picture quality

Now I just have to remember how I got the entire screen shot, text and all into PICTURE MANAGER. ??

I did not explain the issue correctly. Sorry. There really are two issues. One is how to save and I understand what you are saying. If it's just a picture I right click, save as and that is it w the exception that it looks like Picture Manager AUTO CORRECT does improve a picture some as also will Photo Shop whereby I saw videos of people increasing pixels from 72 to 300.

However, today, I am trying to take screen shots of an entire internet page that includes not just one picture but numerous pictures as well as text. "Save as" does not save the text, just the pictures.
