Program displays poorly on 4k screen

Spotmom wrote on 12/25/2015, 5:55 PM
I am using Platinum 13 and I have a new computer with a 4k resolution screen. The program is not displaying properly, a lot of stuff is too tiny to read or it overlaps/cuts off text in boxes so I can't read them.

The program works fine, I just can't see everything I need to. I have tried to start it with no scaling in high DPI, but it makes no difference.

I don't want to have to change my screen resolution to 1080p every time I run this program, is there any other work around at this time?

Exactly what are you trying to view on the TV? A DVD you made using Platinum 13? A blu-ray disk? A MP4 file that you created? Some kind of a 4k file? How are you playing it? A disc drive? A thumb drive? So many questions before the experts here can help you. When you say Program we don't know what that means as Platinum 13 is a program but does not directly hook up to a TV which you imply in your topic.

A similar q was posted on the Pro forum.

It's been a while since I have been here, the new update to Magix brought me back to my old post. Just to clarify, even though it has been a long time, everything needed in my question was there. I am running the program on my computer, I said nothing about a tv or dvd or anything else. My computer has a 4k screen. The program does not display properly on a 4k screen making the program very difficult to impossible to use. Seems a simple enough straight forward question.

@Spotmon, I updated my link to reflect the forum change. No new posts since then so it doesn't look like there's been any movement on that front, at least for v13. I quick look in the Pro forum and didn't see anything about how v14 on 4K monitors. You could download a trial version of it to check it out. If it looks good, wait for Studio v14 to be released and upgrade to it or just buy it using the special offer mentioned  here: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/editing-with-sony-vegas-on-a-4k-monitor--100301/
