Back in October, I submitted a question to Vegsaur support. No, it didn't support what I needed at the time. Today, I got a surprise. That feature request had been implemented in the next release. Many thanks. Here is the correspondence. Thought I'd share.

"Hi Wayne,

Custom date/time format is implemented in version 2.4

OK. Then I'd like to make this a feature request for your next update. Thanks.

Right now, I have to use Hour:Minute:Second format and then add the Year:Month:Day manually. I use these as labels when exporting Snapshots of the first frame of each event. Thanks.

Yes, stellar support. When I asked to be able to set the default process priority for renders, it was added within days.

Aleksey, the plugin author, is fantastic. I've had him implement a number of changes to the date/time feature and Instant DVD. They were pretty considerable changes, so I even donated $100 as a thanks for his work. Time is money, I don't work for free and don't expect him to either. The plugin is a godsend for me, so it was an easy decision. Love it.

Yes, excellent support.

I once made a feature suggestion for a new one click command. The response, one to two days, included a tiny script which they wrote that performed that function. Instant satisfaction. A future version included the feature in Vegasaur.

I'd almost go as far as to say that my primary use for VP13 is to function as the host application for Vegasaur.

.... and the latest (free) update gives us, among other things:

"Smart Trim: Numerous improvements and new features. As you know, Smart Trim uses FFmpeg to cut media files. New option Custom Command allows you to specify your own FFmpeg command line for processing input files. This option turns Smart Trim into complete front-end for FFmpeg inside Sony Vegas Pro!

I'm already using a front-end for FFmpeg for certain things, to be able to do this now inside of Vegas, well, maybe there really is a Santa Claus!
