Subject:In line MIDI Editing - extending note duration

I compose mostly using the MIDI pencil tool, drawing notes on the piano roll, ACID 7 Pro. Once in a while, when I try to extend a midi note in the in-line editing mode, the note will only extend so far, then refuse to grow longer. Sometimes I can't extend the end of the note, so I drag out the beginning longer, then reposition it. At other times I can't seem to extend either side long enough, so I redraw the note the way I want a semitone higher, delete the old note, then reposition the new one in its place. Have others experienced this? Is there a work around (perhaps run in a Windows Compatibility mode or something), or is it just a bug that's never been fixed. Otherwise running perfectly under Windows 10 64, I7 cpu, 16G ram... except for this issue. Thanks so much for you insights. - Don Message last edited on11/28/2015 7:50:28 AM bydonde. |

Indeed. Two things (beside other things) that could be causing this: - Your used Synth (the instrument doesn't play any longer notes) - Or the midi clip size, drag border to make it larger, then you can draw longer notes within the clip, to the right without hitting the clip border. Also copy-pasting the clip to a new track helps to solve that problem. VMP |
