Chapter marks have to be on iframes. The iframes are created when the file is encoded to MPEG. If you put your chapter marks in Vegas, the iframes can be created accordingly. If you place chapter marks after encoding, it is possible they will be off as much as 13 frames.

I don't make the MPEG stream with Vegas so chapters are created in DVD-A after encoding.

13 frames are the difference between a based timecode at 24 fps and another one to 29,97 fps ?

I found many seconds as difference.

Thank you.

24P pulldown is pretty common. Have you burned a test DVD to see if the subtitles are still off? Several seconds is obviously not iframe related.

What encoder did you use?

Sorry for the late answer.

Yes i burnt it, same issue. I used Promedia Carbon for encoding. The file is compliant and works fine with DVD-A.
