Subject:SF11 Pro - Saving File Applies Plug-In Chain

In SF 11 Pro, I've discovered that if I am working with a plug-in chain and save the file I have open, the chain effects are applied to the file. If I save the file more than once, the chain is applied every time I save the file. Is that how SF 11 Pro is supposed to work? Message last edited on11/8/2015 5:03:24 PM byshauntoole. |

That's how Sound Forge works, not just 11 Pro. Saving the file renders a new version incorporating any changes and effects you've applied. This is the nature of destructive editing, unlike Vegas which is non-destructive. You may want to consider saving to a new file instead. If you save a "Sound Forge Project" rather than saving the file then you end up with an accessory file that contains all the editing work you are doing in process with a reference to the original file without altering the original. |
