Subject:SFM does not drop markers while recording!!????

Have tried every possible variation: M key, Insert Marker from Menu bar and from Tool bar.
Consistently ONLY drops a single marker "1" at the very head of the file regardless of when selected or how many times selected.
Works fine after recording is stopped, but that is really useless!
