Hello,

Does anyone know for sure if the boxed version of Sound Forge 9 includes Noise Reduction 2? I am wondering since someone is selling their version but did not see if the Noise Reduction 2 serial number was included (built-in) Sound Forge 9 or if this is a separate install that requires a serial number. Does anyone know for sure?

I'm pretty sure that starting with v8 it's just built in to the Sound Forge install. The last 3 PCs i've installed Sony software on used a v8, v9, and v10 for the initial install and Noise Reduction 2 was ready to use without any further installation or activation.

May want to see anyone else chimes in with the same experience though.

I think NR-2 (DirectX plug-in) was included starting w/ 9. I recall it was a separate download and install at that time.
You could phone or live chat with SCS customer service. Unlike tech support, they're friendly, accommodating and answer questions.
