ACID Pro 7 Chopper not pasting correctly -ACID Product Family

I've recorded a guitar event on an audio track using the punch in, loop technique. I recorded four takes. I've decided on the third take and made that the active clip. I selected a measure of it in the chopper and pasted it on the same track many measures away from that clip. But the measure I've selected does not paste in the track. The portion of the clip that is being pasted is several measures off of the selection I made in the chopper. In fact it's at the very end fading out when the selection I've made in the chopper is in the middle of the clip. What's more strange is that there is no fade out from the third clip. I've confirmed that the clip I'm chopping in the chopper is the correct clip, third clip. What am I doing wrong?
