I'm running Sound Forge 10 on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. Wave Hammer, which I use all the time, inserts an odd beep every few seconds. The beep varies in length and pitch, but it is quite annoying. This did not occur when I was running Sound Forge in Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. |

Could it be in demo mode? |

Correct about the demo mode. Sound Forge will have to be reactivated in order to get it out of demo mode, then the beeps will disappear. |

I have windows 10 and encountered the issue where it would tell me to register the product again, and once I did it would not come up, it would work if I opened it under "run as administration" but I heard others that did that did have all functions, I saw this fix in a separate forum, I tried and it worked......so far The fix: - Open regedit - Find the key named ''HKEY_USERS\XXXXXX-XXXX_Classes\VirtualStore\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Sony Creative Software" - Delete the key - Close regedit - Soundforge now works again Note : in the key name above, 'XXXXX-XXXX' is a number which may be unique to your machine. please be careful when editing the registry |

works good here. Actually it is running better but I have other issues with preset chain save files that corrupt because one plugin is missing. |

looks like i need to do this regedit advice.... as this morning i clicked on the faithful icon that has worked for vista then 7 upgrade and for 3 weeks of w10 uprade and suddenly it wants to run an admin wizzard that never does anything... (rightclick run as admin does launch app)... but i cant find this "key" - is there a short cut to the place do you know? EDIT > FOUND IT ---> https://www.custcenter.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5176/kw/registration (for a detailed line by line how to get there list... i missed the important "classes" bit of the DTYJR's correct help given above...) Have tried that suggestion and every other one I could find so far including suggestions from Support. Still getting "Not Responding" . Must be some conflict with some driver/codec somewhere in Windows 10? Worked OK through Windows 7/8. I've downloaded the Sound Forge Pro 10 as trial and it is also "Not Responding" I've downloaded trials of 3 other audio editors and they all run fine. I'd rather not have to learn another audio editor, but the lack of response from Support, other than do a clean reinstall and clean the registry, has me floundering. I just bought and install the program and got a not responding as well on windows 10. Downloaded update, and same results. I finally got it to open without crashing or getting the not responding error after I changed the startup settings to compatibility mode for windows xp sp3.. If I tried windows 7, or 8 compatibility mode it would not respond. I see this program was developed in 2013. I am quite disappointed that sony has not come out with a newer version or at least with an update that was current. We should not have to jump through hoops to get a program to work. |
