I'm looking for the last Sofo version of Acid, as that was the most stable on my outdated PC! I always thought this was Acid v3.0 but think they switched to Sony during v4? half way through? Have no interest in the later Sony Versions, VST, FX or MIDI, as I think we all know Acid is dead, even though tthe earlier versions were groundbreaking and a brilliant product. So was v4 (half way through the last of the Sofo versions?) Also does anyone know if v4 had the ability to do 2 things the later ones do : 1. Reverse in timeline (U key?) 2. Different items/regions on the same track? Thank you |

I may be remembering wrong, but i think the rebrand came out halfway along version 4. So, the first few v4 releases were Sonic Foundry while the rest were Sony. Maybe. I haven't had anything but 7 installed for many many ages. |

Yes I think "Different items/regions on the same track" was around 5/6 and so was Reverse items come to think of it.. I prefered Acid Pro 3 as it was such a small simple footprint and relatively stable as i didn't even attempt MIDI or VST stuff in it and used it as a looper :) Thanks again |
