I have a wav file I'd like to import into an audio track inside Acid. I choose Open > file and i select the wav file and a new audio track is recorded but there is nothing there in the track. Am I missing something? |

You have to "paint" the track onto the track by dragging the mouse over it. This is the way ACID imports samples and loops. It lets you specify which portion of the file you want to use and where you want it to be on the track. ACID's paradigm is based on using small snippets of audio that can appear many times on the track, so this makes sense to do it this way for loops and samples. Alternatively you might want to look through the manual on "one shot", which behaves a lot more like Vegas in handling events on the timeline and is much more useful for importing long audio pieces like full songs. |
