I have some bits of video footage where there are some areas of signal clipping. In using Sound Forge to detect clipping, it detects clips correctly, but only on the negative side (bottom of the signal trace) and does not detect clips on the positive side (upper part of the signal trace). The clipped peak restoration tools is only fixing the clipped peaks on the negative side of the signal. Is this normal? Or do I have some option set wrong? A known problem? |

It's called DC bias, and you may or may not improve the restoration by removing the bias first with the tool. |
