Unable to import .ts video

Movie Studio Platinum 12
I have downloaded files from my PVR, intent is to put them in Sony MSP for editing then DVD creation.

The files will play, some of files will play OK on VLC, MPC, WMP
Others will not play on VLC but will play on other players

The fact that all will play on MPC (Audio & Video) means to me that at some level both Audio & Video is OK
I have created new project in MSP set to 1920 x 1081 25fps, then when I go to import media and select one of these files it fails … goes “Not responding”
Searched here and it suggests just change file type to .mpg … that makes no difference.

The PVR forum suggested I remux them with tsmuxer
So opened file in tsmuxer selected output as m2ts and set it to go.

Output file which would play on VLC now plays but no audio no audio, seems that tsmuxer strips out any AAC 6 ch audio

How do I get these files into MSP without re-encoding as losing detail

Transport streams have errors. They need to be cleaned up in Videoredo TV Suite or TSDoctor first before opening for editing. TSMuxer will not resync AFAIK.

I already know your files play back just fine -- most do.

I ran the files through VideoRedo and 'Quick Stream Fix'

The resultant files will now load into Vegas - no longer goes 'not responding' but still unable to use there is no audio.

As before the files play happily video and audio with splash, VLC, MPC, WMP

Post MediaInfo for the before and after files.
The audio output params are selectable in VRD.

Formal statement from SONY that Vegas does not support ts stream.
Converted to MP4 with Videoredo
