Subject:Passenger Cabin Inpulse files? Posted by: FixitMad0 Date:7/2/2015 1:33:59 PM Does anyone know if Sonic Foundry or SONY released impulse files from an Aircraft? I am mainly looking for impulse files relating to passenger cabins, cockpit and lavatory. I cannot seem to find any such file on the media that came with Sound Forge 8, 10 and the electronic download of 11. Thanks for any help.

Reply by: rraud Date:7/2/2015 5:19:14 PM By the time you get the atmos/S/FX in, you probably won't need much, commercial aircraft main cabins are pretty dry and I'm sure you can tweak a close-sized preset to simulate an aircraft environment. That said, there used to be a website that had all kinds of free impulses, unfortunately I no longer have the URL, recall the name or even know if it still exists. Most were WAVE files, so they would need to be converted to an AM impulse... Searching will come up with something I'm sure. BTW, I always preferred the SIR convolution reverb which used PCM file impulses.
