Hi all. I am using SFMac Version 2.5.0 (Build 133) on OSX 10.10.3 I am in the process of recording about 1000 vinyl records to 320 MP3. Every time I go to Save As on a new recording, SF remembers that my last save was mp3 format but keeps reverting back to 96kbps. Surely there is a way to set a default? Thanks in advance. |

Just a guess, but try saving your preferred render settings as a new template. SoundForge may remember the last template you used and load all the settings saved therein. At the worst, you'd at least have a one-step process to select that template. |

You might want to consider using Convrt to do this. Get all of the files read/captured using Forge. Then launch Convrt, load in all of the files, set up the right MP3 settings, and let it run. Peter |

Thanks for your suggestions gents. But unfortunately the template idea did not work. You were right about the one-step process tho. Appreciated! Peter, I was hoping to avoid this so I could do hundreds of rips in one go without losing all my storage space... However, when selecting WAV or AIFF, SF does remember the save settings so it's a little quicker on each save. I will do this for as many as possible and chuck them in CONVRT like you suggested. Thanks again. |
