Hi, my computer are AMD Athlon Tunderbird 1.0GHz FSB133MHz, 512MB Sdram PC 133, Moterboard Asus A7V133 off board with chipset Via KT133A(Digidesign recommend for PC compatibility with Digi001),Videocard NVidia Riva TNT2 32MB, two HDs one 20GB OS Windows 98SE and other 40GB only digital audio both Ultra DMA Atta/100 7.200 rpm Quantum Firebal Plus AS. My problem is a great latency in recordings when use the Sound Forge 5.0 with Digidesign Digi001. Please help me.

Latency with respect to what?

How is the recorded audio late and late in reference to what?

I thought Digidesign hardware could only be used with their software and not
other programs like Sound Forge, Vegas, . . . .
