Acid Pro 7 Hangs when I stop recording -ACID Product Family

I have successfully recorded a first track on a couple of projects. However, when I'm record a new track, if it's of any significant length (1.5 mins+) Acid hangs when I click stop recording. It doesn't offer me the option to save the new recording, it just freezes and has to be restarted. The wav files it records when it does this have 0 length, but large file sizes and are unplayable. Smaller recordings are fine. Does anyone have any ideas? Windows 7 64 bit 1.6 ghz CPU 4 GB RAM
