Hi,
I have just bought Acid Rock, and thought it would be the answer to my dreams as regards, me wanting to whip up some quick demo backing tracks to showcase some demos that i have written. The ease and use of the package would allow me to prototype songs i am writing and get feedback before quickly i record them properly.

HOWEVER, after playing around with acid rock, although the large base of samples are wonderful quality, there are hardly any MINOR cords. So, lets say for example, i find a nice struminh acoustic guitar sound that i want to use in my songs, i cant use it unless my song doesnt have ANY minor chords in. As nearly every pop/rock song written since the dawn of time has at least a few minor chords, and the samles on the cd that ship with ACID rock, dont have minor versions of each sample, i find that the samples that ship with acid rock are completely useless to me, with the exception of the drums which ofcourse do not have a pitch.

AM i over looking something stupid, is there any way to get the minor versions of the sample. Please help.

Thank you

Gary Simmons

I figure a lot of guitar loops are not really major chords they are fifths (power chords) you could try just adding the minor third. I like to pitch shifts tracks three or for times and mix 'em -12, +12, +10, +5, +7 etc.

not the whole thing, just a little pinch of minor third here and there. sometimes a flatted seventh does the same thing. it's easy in acid. mho
