FWKW, SF Pro 11 'Statistics' tool also displays the (new) loudness levels (LUFS).. in which one is usually required to adhere to for broadcast submission.

Can you set the loudness level? What's the broadcast standard?

If your in the USA and countries adhering to the ATSC A/85 standard, search for "ATSC Recommended Practice: Techniques for Establishing and Maintaining Audio Loudness for Digital Television"

In Europe and EBU countries: search for "Loudness Recommendation EBU R128"

FWIW, both usually work out to audio peaks around -9.0dBFS .. depending on program material, compression/limiting, EQ, ect. However, the dBFS meter scale can NOT be trusted when submitting programs for broadcast.
The ATSC A/85 is basically -24LUFS and the EBU R128 @ -23LUFS. (integrated)

Ok so tell me if this would be a good idea. find a few songs in my list of 16 where the loudness level sounded good. then analyze other songs and if the loudness level was one or more decibel Above that standard reduce the volume by that many DB's? Does that make sense to you? Thank you.

Edit all 16 have been mastered with the exciter and then hard limiter. I adjusted with the mastering exciter to where nothing peaked into the red.

Actually, the US standard is -24 LKFS, which like its parent BS.1770, is gated a little differently than LUFS.
The NAB best practices suggest a +/- 2dB tolerance, although I can hear that much variation.

In practice, if it meets ATSC A/85, it will also pass muster with EBU R128.
