Saving 44.1 KHz, 16-bit, stereo wave files as Windows Media Audio (Windows Media Audio V8 - I've tried 120 Kbps and 96 Kbps) with Sound Forge 5.0 and Batch Convertor 5.0, a lot of silence (more than 0.3 seconds in the case of a 6 minute 40 second file) is being added at the end of each file. When saved as Windows Media Audio (i.e. not V8) in Sound Forge, some data is lost from the beginning of the file, a lot of silence is inserted, and further silence is added at the end. Is this something I'm doing (i.e. an incorrect setting) or a bug? There's no problem if the same files are rendered using Vegas Video 3.0.
