Don't understand why I don't have the channel converter tool on my Sound Forge audio studio version 10. Per software ad it should be included. Looking to use it to remove vocals. Process/channel converter/stereo to stereo/vocal cut. I have vocal eraser but it has no effect.

The 'vocal eraser' (iZotope of otherwise) doesn't always work very well. It depends how a song was mixed.
From what I gather perusing the AS10 manual, it can convert stereo to mono (or single channel mono to dual channel mono). I'm don't think it has the same channel converter (mix) process' as SF Pro.
You could try the 'Pan/Expand' process

It doesn't take much effort to copy one channel to a new mono file, invert the other channel, copy it, and paste/mix it also into the new mono file. This ends up performing exactly the same function.
