Subject:Sound Breaking Up Recording Midi Sounds in SoundForge

Please help.....I'm trying to record midi sounds into
SoundForge 4.5 using a software synthesizer called
Reality. When I play a note and begin recording, the sound
breaks up, stutters, and clicks and pops. I unchecked the
monitor box but that didn't work. I have a Pentium II
450mhz, UDMA hd, 96 sdram. This noise also occurs on other
sound editors(Cool Edit Pro and WaveLab). There is no
sound problem when I record midi sounds from my midi
sequencer, Cakewalk Pro Audio 8. It only occurs when I
record using Reality. Thanks for any help.

I had the same issue with music studio 10... Turn down the output volume on the midi device, it worked for me. Even if this does not help you specifically someone else might check this out in the future.
