Best raise a support ticket...

FWIW .. I have no issues importing Android phone MP4 or Canon 70D MOV files with that build. QT 7.7.5...

Thanks Tom,
Yeah, that's part of my problem. MOV files from other devices (e.g. Mobius Action Cam) work fine. But for MOV files from my IPhones (both 4S and 6) give me an error.
I also noticed after the upgrade I don't have any "Apple-related" rendering modes listed in the "render as" list.

Also, if I use Handbrake to transcode the IPhone MOV to MP4 they import fine.

"Apple-related" ...

Can you be a little more specific so I can take a look?

I thought I had seen render items for IPad, IPhone, Apple TV, etc and didn't see them initially, but after a bit of searching I see them under Mainconcept AVC/AAC, so I was mistaken about that disappearing.

I did submit a support ticket so hopefully Sony will have some suggestions. While I can transcode to use them, that is kind of a pain and takes some time when importing a number of files at one time.

I am assuming it is something on my end, but haven't figured out what that might be.

Wow, this is getting weirder (is that a word?).
Now I also can't import mp3 audio files successfully.
If I move them to an audio track it displays as a single line (no audio waveform) in the event on the track and when you play it it is just a high pitched random noise sound.
Boy, I must have something really messed up.
Anyone have any suggestions?????

Both problems have been resolved.
I finally found a reference in Google to the MP3 problem which mentioned that both MP3 and MOV files use a special process and that it can sometimes get corrupted.
The fix was to start Vegas while holding down the Cntl and Shift keys and clear IO cache.
It appears to work.
