4K export settings compatible w/ Adobe Speedgrade

I'm using Vegas 12 and have been exporting Main Concept MP4s as a go between for Vegas and After Effects CC. Speedgrade CC doesn't take MP4s and seems to hate h.264.

I tried exporting uncompressed AVIs from Vegas, but it seems that Vegas will only render something that's 2048 x 2048.

I can't find another 4K render option.

What are people using to edit in 4K with Vegas? Is there a solution?

Try XAVC Intra. It's high bitrate, holds up well over several generations, is 422 and files are much smaller then 4K uncompressed.

XAVC would be the codec to use for 4k.

EXR would be an alternative, but that would be an image sequence.

Maybe try MagicYUV, that codec supports 4K-10bit now.

There's no public release of the 10-bit version of MagicYUV as far as I know. It's a great lossless 8-bit codec though.

Agree about XAVC intra. Great lossy 4K 10-bit codec.
