Hey all, Not sure what to even call this effect - but I would sure like to figure out how to do it (using Acid or SoundForge). As near as I can describe it - it is a "Pre-Fade" into an event. That event could be vocals or drums...what ever. Kind of like a "ghost voice" just before you hear what is being said...like I said, kinda difficult to explain - but hopefully y'all know what I mean. If ya do, I would sure like to know. You can reply here or e-mail me at: woodsposse@hotmail.com Thanks much. |

Try opening the the file in Sound Forge, reversing it (so it plays backwards), add reverb or delay, and then reverse it again. You should hear the reverb come ahead of the source now. |

Vanblah, Wow, thanks for the tip on that. I've wondered for so long how that effect was done. I'd have never expected it to be so simple. - Nick LaMartina |

I hate it when people beat me to the punch for the cool questions. :) Check out my Boz Scaggs remix. It features the reverse ghostly reverb effect for the vocals. Iacobus |
