I'm trying to remember how to do this. I've got little pieces of video with spaces in between (where I deleted parts). Could someone tell me how I make it so they all automatically go to the beginning next to each other? Thanks Message last edited on4/2/2015 8:42:22 PM bytfer2. |

Thanks. I started out with auto ripple off and then, after reading up on this sort of thing, turned it on. So now the things move next to each other if I delete whats between them. However, the things that were done before this still sit all over the place. Is there a way to move all items to the beginning and next to each other (other than doing them one by one)? |

With Vegas Pro there are scripts to do this. Unfortunately the Studio version doesn't support scripts. Do you have only one track, or just one A/V source on a single audio/video paired track? If so, with ripple editing on you can doubleclick in the gap and press the Del key to close up the space. Yes, you'll have to do this individually for each gap, but it's probably a lot faster and easier than dragging. |

As above said, Movie Studio Platinum does not support scripts. The VASST Fasst Apps extensions work in MSP 12 and 13 though. See AuditAssistant, which can audit for gaps and "remove and ripple". |

Cool. I didn't know about clicking in the empty space. That was better than dragging each little bit. Thanks for this tip and the other comments. |

If you don't have ripple editing turned on, you can delete the empty space by double clicking it (creates the time selection), hit the Delete key, and then hit Ctrl+F. |
