I can't audition my file during the normalize process, I can use all the option in the window panel but it will ONLY preview the very first part of the file and stopped there to loop again. I either hightlight or choose the whole file and it still doesn't preview the entire file; I don't see any changes when I save it, is it doing the job and I can't notice it or the is it something wrong with normalize process?

One thing to keep in mind is that normalize only raises the highest peak in the entire file (or selection) to a maximum level. If your highest peak is only slightly below 0dB, then normalize won't do much at all. You may want to compress first (Effects, Dynamics) to lower the peaks.

You can change the length of previews by going to options/preferences/previews. Should give you a bit more of a listen if you increase it.
