VP9 delay when trying to access avi fiiles

In VP9 when I go to drag files from explorer to the timeline, I always get an hourglass delay, the bigger the file, the longer the delay. I never experienced this with VP8.

Is there some setting I can tweak to get rid of this?

It could be the file is using a very sluggish, difficult to decode codec. Do you know what codec is used?

These particular files are HuffYuv but again I didn't experience this with VP8.

Try the Vegas 13 trial.
