Mastering Plug-in Advice, Waves vs Izotope vs ??? -ACID Product Family

Posted by: Silamanagic Date:11/11/2014 12:10:27 PM In the past I've used the Waves L1 Ultramaximizer for boosting loudness but at the same time limiting the max output. I really liked it but it doesn't run on my x64 system. I seeking a new plug-in that does the same thing. Or possibly a bundle that contains other useful plug-ins for mastering. 1. What are your preferred plug-ins for loudness/limiting? 2. Are there any free plug-ins that are worth getting? I recently purchased Acid Pro 7 (included KitCore, Izotope Rack, Garritan plug-ins) and am relatively ignorant to it's stock capabilities so perhaps I've just not discovered that it already has what I'm looking for?

Reply by: Silamanagic Date:3/11/2015 8:34:57 PM I'm using Windows 7 x64 with Acid Pro 7.0, which I know is a DAW and not mastering software. However I'm not able to purchase sound forge right now and would like to start using the mastering plug-ins with Acid Pro 7.0. I've tried Waves L2 Maximizer but it didn't work I think because it's for use with x32 bit systems only. Do the Izotope mastering plug-ins work well with Acid? If not, are there other recommendations for mastering plug-ins that would work with a x64 bit system in conjunction with Acid?
