If you have done your final mix you can render it as a wave file. Then import it into a wave editor and do a fade there wich can then be rendered as a mp3-file or burned directly to CD. Alternatively you can reimport the master-mix into Acid, set up the fades and render to the proper format once more. Hope this helps Erik |

you can use a program called SOUND FORGE to fade in or out.... go to PROCESS then FADE... it is so easy with that program |

I sort of agree with Erik and Rival. What I would do (if I didn't have SoundForge) is render the entire piece as a WAV...open a new Acid Project, insert the file, and do a Fade at the end. You can do this by inserting the Volume Envelope - add a point towards the end and a point at the end, then take the point (at the end) and lower the volume all the way. At the point where you put the volume envelope point towards the end will start to fade the project out to no volume at the very end. (Did that make sense??) |

Just wanted to add that setting 2 separate volume points would create a linear fade whereas using the fade tool in Acid would make a fade-out that is slow at first then fades more rapidly at the end. Erik |
