...is basically consisting in watching it load and then watching it crash. On Lion OS X 10.7.5. Can't seem to prevent it from crashing and I'm not doing anything at all.

Not very impressed!

Had a similar issue with SF Mac Pro 2.5 on Mountain Lion. It is apparently a bug in the Status format (ruler). If I change the format to samples it works without crashing. Not great considering we're on version 2.5! I have been told this bug will be considered for a future patch. Hoping this will be fixed in the next update.
