Subject:Help ("?") doesn't work on Izotope plugins

The Help button doesn't bring up anything on the Izotope Mastering and Repair Suite effects, such as reverb, compression, exciter, limiter, etc.

I'm using SF11 Build 299 with Win 8.1. Does anyone have this working?

What specific info are you seeking .. or don't they install/function?
FWIW, both the iZotope Mastering suite and the Nectar Elements suite are 'separate' downloads and registrations with iZotope.

I've had this problem. I contacted izotope and they said their software requires admin privileges which is something they should list as a requirement on their sales pages. There is a way around the problem. Temporarily change the user account to admin before installing the software and then change it back afterwards to a regular account - this worked for me. It really annoys me that companies take the easy way out and demand admin rights for trivial reasons. You want help - then make your PC less secure. Ridiculous. Poor show izotope and Sony are guilty of this as well.

The plugins install OK. I wanted Help particularly for the Limiter--I don't know what "Margin" and "Character" are supposed to do, nor can I hear any difference when tweaking them.

My personal user login does have administrator privileges, but are you saying I have to install the software under the default user named "admin"? What is the password for admin in Win8?

I'm having a similar problem with SF11. Each time I want to run it, I have to select "run as administrator" which involves 4 mouse clicks to start it rather than just one.

Sounds like there is an extra problem with Windows 8? I'm using Windows 7 and set the account as admin before installing software as normal. Did you raise the level of the Windows 8 account? I thought they were created automatically as non-admin. I wouldn't use an admin account on a daily basis - I think it is a security risk.
