Subject:Info on "Input Bus Effects"?

A new feature listed for SF11 is that of assigning effect chains to the Input Bus. I couldn't find any way to do this in the user manual or the online help.

Does this feature mean that one could, for example, have a software limiter/compressor (supplied with SF11) process in realtime an audio source that is being recorded by SF? I presume the "Input Bus" is the bus that feeds the Record module in SF?

When Recording, there is only the facility to Monitor the Input through Plugin Chain, to be found in the Record Options window in View Menu; afaik the recording is always made "flat".

Christo,

Thanks for pointing me to the Record Options window.
In playing with the Plugin Chain, it does actually record the effect-processed Input Signal.

However, the check box for "Monitor input through Plug-In Chain doesn't seem to work. It always processes the monitor signal through the plug-in chain, checked or not.

Also, I couldn't get Help (? button) to work for any of the Izotope effects, nor could I find online help on their website for the Mastering and Repair Suite. Does Help work for you?

I beg to differ - here the result of the Plugin Chain is definitely NOT RECORDED - did you Bypass the Plugin Chain after recording? - if so, you should find the recording was un-touched. (the Plugin Chain is always active during Play, unless bypassed.)

That is not the case here - the "Monitor input through Plug-In Chain" 'switch" works!

Same here.... helpful isn't it!
