I recently bought acid pro 7 after previously using acid studio hoping i don't regret. Here is my issue, is it at all possible to do the simplest of things like hook up 2 usb microphone to my laptop and have the program recognize them on separate tracks. since my laptop has 4 usb plug ins even recognize them up to 4 tracks? Also if i purchase a mixer with a usb out to computer will the program recognize that and separate tracks as well. Please help cause so far this program feels not different than the 30 dollar 1 i purchased a year ago.

Did you not download the free trial version before you purchased ? FWIW it is significantly different.

You have to select an input device in Options|Audio Device. Track inputs are usually assigned to tracks from that device. Not sure if USB mics are considered all one device with the one generic driver., or each are separate devices.

If you go the mixer route, make sure individual tracks are 'sent' to USB. With some that you would assume that is the case, only send a mix to USB.

Once you install the drivers for the 2 mics (Windows will probably do that for you), you may have to select one mic on the "left" channel and the other on the "right" channel if both mics share the USB. Perhaps you will get lucky and it will show you them as 2 separate devices.
