Can I turn off the "missing file" - warning?

Is there a way to permanently disable the “The following file could not be found” warning?
I want the option “Ignore all missing files and leave the offline” to be default for Vegas, set in stone, casted into the application, forever. I will soon enough discover when something is missing.

I have a lot of footage on external drives, and sometimes these are disconnected, sometimes connected. Still I do productive work in my (very many) Vegas projects, adding sound, text effects and so on. I will not elaborate much, regarding this topic, it is just the way I work at the moment.
And these warning messages are driving me nuts.
Can I turn the annoying warnings off? Globally? I found no option under preferences, I held down Alt when clicking preferences, giving me access to the “Internal" preferences, saw no option there either.

in project media you can click the lightning bolt to remove all unused clips from the project.

Ok, maybe I am bad at explaining this.
There is no unused media. All media is used. But sometimes (for reasons I do not wat to tell here), some of the media is not acessible all the time. Which is fine, because the media is accessible when it is about time to do some rendering.

I have used Vegas more than 6 years, so I know how to remove unused media.
All I want is an option to turn off these warnings. That's it.

Wouldn't have thought so, but maybe there's something in the internal prefs? (hold down shift key when clicking on preferences) Have you tried looking there?

Thanks Arthur, did you read my initial message? :)

Ok, here is an update.
I am a programmer, so I wrote a small extension which does what I want. As soon as this Warning prompt pops up, the extension will close it down and silence it.
Case close on my side.
It would have been nice though, if Vegas had an option to turn this warning off.

one button click on opening project - 'ignore all off line media'?

Hi ushere :)
Yes, sounds silly, right?
But there is more to it, than it seems. I have a certain workflow where I repeatedly open several Vegas projects, often, very often. Don't ask me why. And this warning promt, while in the beginning made perfectly sense, graduall became a real nuisance.
Now it is gone, what a relief :)

If you can hold down ALT and get into internal prefs (or any prefs) you're a genius. ;-)
