Subject:VU meters

I've never noticed VU meters. I've always used 'meters' on the mixing console, but not the VU meters. The VU meters show my signal very high and in the red. My output meter on the track channel is not recording in the red. Should I be concerned?

Continuously very high ? Possibly means your music has an incredibly high average power level (and little dynmaic range). That may be what you want.

Just as long as no normal (peak) meter is red it's not a problem. Unless you actually want your music to have dynamic range ...
