Hello, I need some help copying my vinyl to my PC using Sound Forge. Does anyone know how I can minimise background surface noise and crackle from a recording, without affecting the actual recording much? |

IF you have the plug ins for Sound Forge, click on DirectX and then use Sonic Foundry Click Removal, Sonic Foundry Noise Reduction and Sonic Foundry Vinyl Restoration. |

I assume you have a phonograph pre-amp, which has a special equalization curve. The noise reduction plug-in does work great. |

Can you get into more detail with the answer. I have the plugins but never paid much attention to how to use it. |
