@John Louis
I am also a bit apprehensive about upgrade to v13 pro .. I feel that v14 is in the air and I have limited funds for such things as upgrades..
I'm doing okay with v12.

I see that ACID PRO 7 is $60. That was what I paid for Music Studio 8. Was wondering if there is yet another trap door to fall through.

Definitely wait if you can. Vegas 13 still has bugs in it. If you already have Version 12, you're not really missing anything. We only upgraded (a few weeks ago) when it wasn't on sale because we needed to get a project finished. Am enjoying the Hitfilm lensflares that come with Vegas Pro 13 Edit, however, there are still bugs in Vegas. XAVC Long-gop support hasn't been added yet... the min/max plug in... etc.

All programs have issues. Not upgrading because an UNANNOUNCED version MIGHT solve a CURRENT problem is silly. That's like saying I'm not going to eat breakfast because lunch could be better.

If I had the $ to spend on it I'd be upgrading to 13. I'm currently happy with 10 but would like some of the better features. In two years it won't matter if you upgraded now or waited for 14 (which, again is UNANNOUNCED). What matters is getting the work done now.

IMHO, if you need to ask if you should upgrade then you don't need to.

or

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

If there is a feature you would like but wonder whether it is worth the cost, that is a question only you can answer.

By using the demo! :)

I bought 10 because of two features but they were soooooooo useful to me it was worth it. I forget what they were now.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it"..
Sums it up for me.. However, with a feature rich release of another version I presume is on the horizon, I say why not stay current for the software support.
It has been awhile since SCS has released anymore updates for v12 pro even though I have yet to push it to it's maximum limits.

I am curios if 14 will be moving to a annual/monthly subscription model. I have noticed a number of softwares moving this direction lately.
