when I make my own loops and acidize them in sound forge, they show up as disk-based in acid. anybody else have this happen? to get around it, I change it to loop in the properties dialog box. it's annoying to have to do this everytime. btw, my loops are generally only 2 bars (8 beats).

Be sure to exactly specify the type of ACIDizied file you want the file to be via the Edit ACID Properties dialog in Sound Forge (Special>Edit ACID Properties on the menu bar).

yeah, I make sure it's a 'loop' before saving. it's strange cuz I didn't have this happen with 2.0. do you make loops? does it do the same thing or does it work as advertised? just curious. thanks for responding!

It works for me. I use the "Edit ACID Properties" dialog, tick the appropriate option and click OK, then save (or save as). I open it in ACID, which then gives me the correct parameters as they were in Sound Forge. Note that I save in WAV and PCA formats, which both appear to save the extra info needed for the file to be ACIDized properly.

Do you have the latest builds of each product? It's a stretch but it could help.

You're welcome! :)

I haven't gotten the 'f' update yet but I will over the weekend. I've been using the acid properties icon to set the bpm, # of beats, type (ie, one shot, loop, disk based). it only seems to happen with loops that I record from my synth into sound forge. I've made some loops off of audio cd's (feedback & noise type things) and not had this happen. I don't know, but it's kind of frustrating. like I said, after I change the loops to 'loop' in the properties box in acid (pro 3.0) everything's cool. I guess I'll have to stick with what works.
