Subject:Is tech support down?

I sent a support request on the 3rd February and still haven't heard anything despite updating it twice.

Installed SF10 on a new system and the Sound Forge plugins are running in demo mode. I couldn't find any help in the FAQs or on a search.

Can anyone help?

Might help if we had some details.

What are your computer specs? What is your operating system?

Have you had this software installed on another computer? Did it work there?

Have you added the key/serial number for all the software -- not just Sound Forge?

> Unfortunately that's typical. According to others seeking SCS tech support, longer than a few weeks is expected. You're far more likely to get valuable info from other users here. As Steve stated, post your related spec info.

I think Sony must have one or two people working in its tech "support" department, if that many.

I put in a ticket for support 3 weeks ago and so far it has been completely ignored. However, after waiting a week, I went ahead and put in another request for help, and about a week later, that ticket was finally responded to.

So I would suggest putting in new tickets/requests to "support" until someone takes finally notice.

Not sure all of the specs right now but it's i7 based and just built with SSD main drive plus the storage drives from my old system and 8GB RAM.
Windows 7 with all updates (64).
I don't think the system is the issue, I run a professional studio and it was built specifically for this.
All of my software is registered with legitimate serial numbers as required and ran fine on my previous (Alienware) system. I do not use any illegal software.

My other Sony software (Vegas Pro, DVD/CD Architect) all run fine.

Everything else runs fine.

Good luck...

I have seven outstanding requests for support, some lodged at the end of last year!

...still waiting, but not optimistic!
