Subject:24 bit wav problem

when i try to play "24 bit ,48k " wave file using sound forge 5.0 ,the pointer is not moving and the meter is not showing anything ,but i can hear the music , i need your help ..

Could please give more info on your hardware setup? Kinda sounds like a video issue but not sure.
