Time stretched clips render as static images michael_morlan wrote on 2/6/2015, 8:10 PM Hi there, Searched for answers first. Didn't find this one. I've had this problem for a year. I time-stretch a clip. It displays correctly when scrubbing on the timeline but it renders as a static frame. Anyone else? Any fixes? Thanks, Michael Back to post
Comments Chienworks wrote on 2/6/2015, 9:40 PM What kind of clip is it ... codec, file type, file name extension? Where did it come from? michael_morlan wrote on 2/10/2015, 8:17 AM 2015-02-06_sock_exploding_3.MOV Straight from a Canon 70D. Type: Sony AVC Size: 317.77 MB (325,398,932 bytes) Streams Video: 00:01:23.959, 23.976 fps progressive, 1920x1080x12, AVC Audio: 00:01:23.959, 48,000 Hz, Stereo, PCM Tried it with Smart Resample and Disable Resample on the clip. This has been a pretty consistent problem for two years and from other Canon cameras. Thanks for any ideas. M Chienworks wrote on 2/10/2015, 9:24 AM Can you render it to a new file at real time, then use that new file for stretching? dlion wrote on 2/10/2015, 9:45 AM good idea. render to mxf, a format that is canon mov-friendly, then stretch that. musicvid10 wrote on 2/11/2015, 10:19 AM If Resampling is disabled, stretched video events will duplicate, not interpolate. I bet you've got resampling disabled. michael_morlan wrote on 2/23/2015, 7:44 PM Hmm. That could be. Odd that, when scrubbing the clip, it shows the animation but not when rendering. I routinely kill all resampling on the time-line because so much of my media is from different frame rates. Different frame rates is when you SHOULD have resample enabled, unless you are using pulldown to convert 24p to 60i. 1
