Subject:Acid 7 Pro tempo changes on drumloop

I can't help thinking there is a derp setting that I've missed, but here goes: I beatmapped some original studio recorded music with drum tracks removed(they need...fixing shall we say lol). I created some drumbeat samples with Beatcraft and saved them as .wav files. They sound fine when I play them in wma and vlc, for example, but as soon as I add the sample to the ACID project, the tempo goes to half speed- 72bpm drum beat is now 36bpm. I have to compose it at double speed on Beatcraft to make it play correctly in Acid 7- but the sound is heavily degraded. I am narrowing it down to a problem in ACID since the sample does play correctly outside of it. Can someone point me to the derp button? Running Windows 7 Home 64bit Thanks :)

Go to "clip properties" then click on "Strech" tab, in there one of the sections says initial tempo, change it to 72.000bpm, hope this helps, Cheers

Clip properties show original drum sample tempo as 144bpm, which I find odd because I set Beatcraft tempo at 72bpm when I created it.. Resetting that made the drum track not change, but the music track played twice as fast lol- still in key, but way too fast. Seems odd to me Now I'm really perplexed. Do you think it's a Beatcraft issue after all? Thanks so much for your input !

Incidentally, I was running a trial version of Beatcraft. I dunno if I want to shell out for the paid version if it doesn't work right, even though it builds drum samples much more easily than doing them from scratch on ACID(for my skill level, anyway). Any thoughts on this?

Can you put one of these files on Dropbox or some other cloud storage area so I can grab it?

Try using the "beatmoper wizzard" again to rebeatmapit, its on the bottom section of strech tab.

So I basically retraced my steps and started over. tempo glitch was all me I think- the song was in fact at 144bpm to begin with, I had transposed from my project notes. Sorry to waste anyone's time- but I did learn from your advice. Cheers!
