Subject:Imported wav files speeding up

For some time we've been importing wav files from other DAWs into our Acid projects without any problems. However, recently the wav files have been playing faster in Acid than they were recorded. The wavs play at the correct tempo on the DAW they were recorded and rendered on. We have the track type in Acid set to "one shot". I'd be grateful if anyone could offer advice on how we can fix this.

Thanks in advance!

Something's up as One-shot is the only track type that ACID does not timestretch (or keystretch) in any way.

Is it consistent? Can you add the track to a new project and see if it still does the same thing?

The original wavs were recorded on Reaper, emailed, and then inserted into Acid where they are playing faster. Downloading the emailed wavs and inserting them into Reaper again works fine as they play correctly. We could try inserting them into another Acid project to see what happens. We have worked this way for about 10 months with no issues whatsoever until recently. The only thing that has changed is we are now using a new interface but I'm not sure if that would affect the playback rate. Thanks for your help, we'll give that a try!

"The only thing that has changed is we are now using a new interface"

This is most likely the cause.

It sounds like the hardware is not setting the sample rate to match the project in ACID.

What type of interface?
Are you using Wave Classic, Mapper, or ASIO drivers?

What is the sample rate of the wave files you are bringing in?
What is the project sample rate in ACID?
