When saving a file, I get a messages that tells me that the file name contains 'Invalid Characters'. The character in question is a period. (Which is not invalid) How do I turn off this behavior? |

What format are you saving? I don't recall any settings preference. No problems here (SF11), <.wav> Periods OK within file name, otherwise the usual Windows naming issues still apply. Obviously it's not possible to enter a period after the extension and then save the file. |

I'm doing a Tools -> Extract Regions, which saves the regions to .wav files. (I have the "Use long file names for destination file names" checked) A region such as M.C. would get saved as M_C_.wav |

If you typed the character "period" on the keyboard, it should work. I have no problems in any Sony program, or any other program. If you copied (Ctrl-C) the filename from a document, often Microsoft Word or Excel, It may not be a "period", but look like one. I suggest that when you fill in the filename you move the cursor to the "period", delete it, and type a "period" from the keyboard. Please let us know what happens. |
